Holy Grail - Bite Beauty Maple Agave Lip Mask

A while back, I got the original Agave Lip Mask. I only got to try it once before my Kitten Terrors got ahold of it and punched holes in the tube. But when Bite launched the maple line, I had get the maple lip mask.

The winters are cold and dry and every year my lips reach a point where none of my lip products are cutting it. Lip mask to the rescue! A little bit goes a long way and it's super hydrating. It completely changes how my lips feel. And, of course, there is the maple flavour that I am obsessed with. 

There are a few different options for this lip mask. There is the original, there is a champagne rose-gold one and a smashed on with a red wine finish. I think the maple is a Canadian release only. But the lip mask is a must have, just for your day to day lip care.

First Off - Marc Jacobs Birthday Gift

Every year Sephora gives out a birthday gift to the VIB members. And this year there was a choice. I can't remember what the other choice was. It might have bee some sort of skincare thing? Anyway, I chose the Marc Jacobs set. 

The set contains a mini Le Marc Crème Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and a mini Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a cream rose colour. One swipe is super pigmented. It feels creamy and wears pretty well. It's held it's own against my coffee while I was writing this. And the colour is just gorgeous! It is going directly into my purse for adult type situations. 

And the eyeliner is amazing. It wears really well and doesn't smear throughout the day. Mini eyeliners are my favourite because they are small enough to fit in my pocket for touch ups. But with this one, I don't need to touch it up. It comes in an entire rainbow of colours that I will be checking out. 

If you are able to pick a birthday gift from Sephora, I really suggest this one.

This Moment's Obsession - Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick

I have had my eye on this for a few months now. I have been trying to resist it. But, lucky for me, My Lover Dearest got it for me for my birthday! It doesn't go great with my hair (which is currently bright purple) but I don't care. I've been rocking it anyway.

It's a deep shimmery green. It's very Slytherin. It smells like chocolate and is soft and creamy. I have only tried two of the colors from this line but I love them! And the color selections is exactly what you would expect from Kat Von D. I will probably be picking more of these up in the future.

This Moment's Obsession - Lush Cosmetics Santa's Lip Scrub

My lips get very dry and flaky. I try to keep them moisturized but they still need to be scrubbed. I could make my own lip scrub but I am lazy. And Lush does it so well!

I have tried the Mint Julips and the Bubble Gum lip scrubs. But they were all sold out when I went in. They did have the Santa's scub and I grabbed it. I love it! It gets rid of all the dry, dead skin. And it tastes like cola! It tastes really good! 

They have a different flavours, so whatever your flavour of choice is, they have you covered. You rub it on your lips, rub your lips together and then lick the scrub off. Simple and necessary.

This Moment's Obsession - Bite Beauty Maple Matte Cream Lipstick

You all know that Bite is my favourite lipstick brand. This is old news. It is also worth noting that I am Canadian and maple is one of my favourite flavours. So when I got an email that there was going to be a limited edition, Canada exclusive of a maple flavoured lipstick, I freaked out just a little bit. (Okay. I may have squealed in excitement.)

I picked up the shade Sugared Maple. Purple lipsticks are my color choice. These came in 5 shades, all in fall shades. There were two reds, an orange, this purple and a darker more brown shade. I am very picky about my shade of red. Orange just looks awful on me. I am a little uneasy about brown lipsticks. So really, this purple was the only way to go.

It is a matte lipstick, and I usually have issues with them drying out my lips. But I do not find that this is the case. It wears really well and is very pigmented. It has a definite maple scent when you first put it on. And it tastes like it a little after you put it on. But I find that the maple aspects fade after application. 

Anyway, I love it. I think that they are all sold out now. But I love this too much not to post about it!

First Off - MAC Bronze Shimmer Frost Lipstick

My first MAC lipstick! I'm so excited! I've tried their lip liners (post to come) but not their lipsticks. I found some other colours that I want. But my first one just happens to be Bronze Shimmer Frost lipstick! 

I was planning my makeup for my Halloween costume (post coming tomorrow on all of the details!) and I couldn't decide on a lipstick. I wanted something nude but more on the gold side. And a gold lipstick is surprisingly hard to find! Everything was very orange. 

After striking out at Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart, I decided to give the MAC counter a try on my way out. And they came to my rescue! I found what I was looking for immediately and was very excited to try it.  

This is a very shimmery lipstick. I was expecting it to be very drying and feel gritty due to all the glitter. But it is the complete opposite! It's super smooth and creamy and comfy to wear. It's not super pigmented, but it's just what I was looking for. The only downside is that now I want to go back and buy all of the other lipsticks MAC has available.  

Verdict:  I don't know how often I will wear it. Gold isn't one of my favourite colours to wear. But I love this and I'm going to try to find excuses to wear it. 

Holy Grail - Bite Beauty Line & Define Lip Primer

Oh. My. God. I think I fell in love. 

In the last year or so, I fell in love with lipstick. (Basically since I found Bite Beauty). And my collection went from 0 to Obsessed real fast. 

But the problem with lip stick is that it can wear off really fast. You use primer to make your foundation last longer, but what about your lipstick? If you have to wear lip liner, then you have to buy one for every different shade of lipstick. And when you have about a million different shades (give or take), you need that many different shades of liner.

But not anymore! Bite has solved all your lip problems with this one product! It is a clear pencil that acts as a lip liner and a lipstick primer all in one! It helps make your lipstick last. It has jojoba and argan oil in it too! So it keeps your lips soft and moisturized. It is truly the only product you need under your lipstick.

And the little white end comes out and is a sharpener! Which I only realized as I was writing this. 

Have I raved about this enough? I love it! And you need it in your life. Like now. Right now.

There is a new Bite Beauty product? Of course I needed it!

This is a great collection, in my opinion. There are 12 soft shades inspired by a water color palette. They are named from One to Twelve. And they include such a gorgeous range of colors. Half of them are colors you would expect of lip gloss. Pinks and purples and reds. But it was the other half that drew me in. 

One is a soft yellow. 

Two is a pale pink.

Three is a pale plum.

Four is a pastel purple.

Five is a soft mint.

Six is a salmon pink.

Seven is a jewel red.

Eight is a dusty coral.

Nine is dusty plum.

Ten is cool pink.

Eleven is deep fuchsia.

Twelve is a deep purple.

This is a limited edition collection. So if you are even thinking about it, get it while you can!

This Moment's Obsession - Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick Duo in Palamino/Violet

Bite Beauty is my favourite lipstick brand. Hands down. They have such a wide variety of colors and they wear so well. 

I saw the duo and thought that two is definitely better than one. These are so super vibrant! I am obsessed with bright lipsticks. These are so creamy and the color doesn’t fade. I don’t always check if my lipstick needs touch ups, and I don’t have to. They don’t dry out my lips either.
